Trump’s Lawyer Attempts to Prove He's Not Racist by Posting Pics of Him With Black People

But he has so many black friends!

As the son of a holocaust survivor, I have no tolerance for #racism. Just because I support @POTUS @realDonaldTrump doesn't make me a racist pic.twitter.com/lfIwdosreE

If you are charged with racism, it's never a good look (in fact, it's perhaps the worst look) to respond by saying you have black friends. Well, that's essentially what Donald Trump's personal attorney Michael Cohen just did on Twitter.

Following this weekend's horrifying events in Charlottesville and Trump's repeated refusal to completely disavow the white supremacist fascists that descended on the city, Cohen was charged with being racist for supporting Trump—which, you know, isn't really far fetched at all. Cohen then took to Twitter to write, "As the son of a holocaust survivor, I have no tolerance for #racism. Just because I support @POTUS @realDonaldTrump doesn't make me a racist." He attached a collage of pictures of himself posing with a bunch of black people to show, once and for all, that he is definitely not racist. The people in the photos include Trump supporters like Don King, Omarosa Manigault, and video bloggers (and low-key Trump employees) Diamond and Silk.

Olivia Nuzzi, a reporter for New York magazine, posted screenshots of her exchange with Cohen regarding his collage of Black people. Cohen's answers are telling.
