J. Prince Claims Drake Had 'Career-Ending' Kanye West and Pusha-T Diss Ready to Go

Conveniently, Drake fans will never get a chance to hear the track J. Prince claims would have been damaging to multiple livelihoods.

J. Prince, understandably, has been everywhere recently in promotion of his new book The Art & Science of Respect. In the past 24 hours alone, he sat down for a trio of detailed discussions that all inevitably included some additional commentary on his involvement with the seemingly concluded Drake v. Pusha-T spectacle.

The most quotable new Drake comments, arguably, occurred roughly 14 minutes into his latest chat with TheBreakfast Club crew Tuesday.

"Well, I don't know about Lil Wayne, but [Drake] definitely was cocked and loaded," Prince said when asked about Drake's rumored Pusha/Kanye response. "He definitely was ready to fire and I would say this, me and Kanye had spoke. I don't think he would mind me stating we had a conversation. This could have been a career-ending situation where he's concerned and it also could have damaged, I think, a whole lot of livelihoods."

Asked to clarify if he meant the alleged shelved track would have damaged West's career, Prince continued: "For sure, I feel like he would have been twisted with this one," he said. "Wouldn't have been good for Pusha either." As previously reported, the Rap-A-Lot CEO revealed earlier this week that he's the one who got in touch with Drake and convinced him not to respond to Pusha's scathing "The Story of Adidon."

Prince also discussed his new book and more Drake-related topics with Sway in the Morning and No. 1 show in late-night Desus & Mero. Catch those interviews in full below.

Though we may never get a Drake response, if such a track even exists, we still have plenty of new music from G.O.O.D. and OVO set to drop in the weeks ahead. This Friday, West is expected to release his seven-track collaborative project with Kid Cudi. Now would be a good time to remind you that Drake lamely dissed Cudi for his mental health back in 2016, so let's cool it with the sympathy in response to Pusha's multi-layered "Adidon."
