Tomi Lahren, the polarizing right-wing political personality behind “Final Thoughts,” was fired from The Blaze in March. The reported cause of her termination: Lahren had made public that she was pro-choice during an appearance on The View.
Glenn Beck, the face of The Blaze, whom Lahren sued for wrongful termination (they have settled the lawsuit), has now made his perspective on Lahren super clear. During an interview with John Ziegler on Free Speech Broadcasting, Beck said he was never a fan of Lahren.
“I would’ve fired her the day I met her in the hallway,” Beck said. “And that’s no kidding. And would’ve fired her from the beginning, wanted to fire her all along, advised them to fire her. They never did.”
Beck apparently does not have the power to hire or fire employees at The Blaze, which is surprising. Beck added that his desire to have Lahren fired had nothing to do with her pro-choice stance.
“It had nothing to do with being pro-choice…What I have a problem with is somebody who will change their point of view or will say absolutely crazy, red meat things, and will not have any intellectual firepower to back it up,” Beck said.
It’s a fascinating interview for anyone interested in politics or media. You can listen to the whole thing below.
